As every patriotic Indian, I too salute the hardwork and determination behind Chandryaan 2. So what? if it fell short of the target; we proved to ourselves and the rest of the world that we are there, and we have got it in us, to successfully attempt a moon mission very very soon. Thanks to the current team and the visionaries like Nehru who set up the Indian Space Research Organisation.
The effort that has gone in, is of 4 to 5 years and the last minute communication break that happened made all of us Indians sad, worried and we all felt equally affected. Each and every citizen of this country empathised with Kailasavadivoo Sivan and his team, and rightly so.
On the other hand we have been working on something else for 70+ years now, add have spent lot or resources, time and energy behind it.
On 5th August 2019, we abrogated article 370 and a day before, we lost communication with 12.5 million people of Jamnu and Kashmir. A vast majority does not seem to be bothered with this communication breakage, they do not appreciate the effort behind the mission of fully integrating the people J&K with the country; that got aborted very near to success, they do not empathise with the ones who championed the cause, much like Mr.Sivan - They are "Narionalists".
Like the Vikram Lander, the people of J&K can only give us the ground information. If Vikram lost communication for reasons unknown, the people of J&K are denied access to modes of communication. But, we don't seem to be affected.
Chandrayaan 2 was a show of our space strength and a failure can always be undone by a repeat attempt, but J&K is not. These are human beings who are affected, and their suffering cannot be undone through a repeat attempt.
As we are looking for aliens in the space and life in moon, we have alienated 12.5 million people by a 'masterstroke'.
Everyone else today is talking about the mission but for Vikram lander. Informtion from Vikram is the only information that matters, and hence it is deemed to be a failure.
Similarly everyone else other than people of J&K are talking about their comfort, well being and normalcy, but it is only their voice, that matters and until that is heared, this mission, that of abrogating Article 370 , will also be considered a failure, in this case a disgraceful one!
While Chandrayaan 2 is 90-95% success and is an indication of success to follow, communication blockade in J&K is is 90-95% filure and is indicative of the chaos to follow.
Writing this, would tantamount to sedition in their dictionary, but not writing this, shall be treason in my dictionary.
Hoping for sense, sensibility and sensitivity to prevail soon....
