It is the 75th Independence day of our nation! A proud moment indeed for every Indian.
It was not gifted to us by anyone. It was a result of almost 100 yers of struggle, fight, resistance and grit shown by our freedom fighters.
No! Not all of our citizens back then fought for freedom. Some chose to serve the British, some were fighting a battle for themselves and their ideology.
Convergence of people who beling to different castes and religions, who speak different languages, who wear different clothes, who have cultural differences, who look different, who have different diets, who have different outlooks under one flag - the tricolour, one name - India, is what makes us unique. "Unity in Diversity" is what defines us.
Let us not lose it, to any one.
Unity not Uniformity
Harmony not Homogeneity
Is what we should maintain.
Let others not define our feeling for the nation. Let others not teach us what we should be. Let others not evaluate our love towards our own nation.
Patriotism not Nationalism is what we will benefit from.
Let us love our nation for what it is.
Our idea of India is a geographical area where all of us live with peace and Harmony. It should never become a group of people who belong to a certain Sect.
Let us hang in there, while we gain enough strength to win our India back.
Let us rejoice the remaining freedom until we have it.
Let us offer resistance and not be frightened.
Jai Hind!
Vande Mataram!
